Surrounded on three sides by water; the Gorge/Selkirk waterway and Victoria Harbour, and sharing its western edge with the Municipality of Esquimalt, Victoria West is a dynamic neighbourhood with a wide variety of land uses including industrial, retail, commercial and residential. 

Victoria West has one of the highest ratios of parkland to population in the city and is well served by the Galloping Goose Trail and the harbour path system.  Amenities around the area include the Victoria West Community Association and the Victoria West Community Y along with churches and other services.
