On-site Reclaimed Water Treatment
Dockside Green's innovative approach to conserving and reusing water will save approximately 70 million gallons per year; the same amount used in the Greater Victoria area on the year's driest day.
One hundred percent of Dockside Green's sewage will be treated on-site and reused primarily for toilets and irrigation, reducing the demand for potable water. Residual treated water will recharge the naturalized waterway that flows across the site and collects rainwater as it flows towards the inner harbour.
Water Reuse Process - CHECK OUT THE WATER TREATMENT ANIMATION
Dockside Green's treatment plant will blend in with the naturalized setting of the community and will be constructed under the greenway.
