Local products will be used on site for construction activities, site utilities, and demonstration projects, as well as being made available for purchase on site. Showcasing local products will increase exposure for local businesses and establish Dockside Green as an excellent development resource - a great example of what can be done with locally-produced, ecologically-responsible products. What's more, the decision to use locally produced goods not only benefits local businesses, it has the added environmental benefit of reducing CO2 emissions from transport.
